Incorporating this skill will engage both your lower body and core muscles like your hip flexors and abs.  To perform the high knee step, your knees should be coming up high enough that your thighs are parallel to the ground. It\'s similar to the alternate foot step, so make sure you\'ve mastered that skill first.
