'Say goodbye to the food pyramid; say hello to MyPlate. The USDA is scrapping the decades-old nutrition guide in favor of a new icon shaped ... like a plate. First Lady Michelle Obama, whose Let\'s Move campaign is aimed at fighting obesity, helped unveil the new design. ;The original U.S. food pyramid appeared in 1992, and a more confusing, prismatic update was released in 2005. Nutritionists have long lamented the counterintuitive nature of the pyramid, particularly the fact that sugars and sweets appeared at the top.'
