'Comedian John Oliver highlights the shortcomings of the American healthcare system  and the dishonorable practice of predatory debt buying. In this segment, Oliver pulled off the largest one-time giveaway in television history. Through RIP Medical Debt, a non-profit organization which specializes in forgiving medical debt with no tax consequences for the debtor, John Oliver managed to forgive over $15 million of medical debt.
